The council members' words fell flat, and Lin Qingxue's eyes only grew colder. She took a step forward, her slender fingers curled into fists. "You're right, I am being unreasonable. I'm being unreasonable because I'm consumed by anger and hatred. And I'll stop at nothing to make you pay for your treachery."

The air was thick with tension as the council members cowered away from Lin Qingxue's wrath. But among them, one figure remained still, his eyes locked onto Lin Qingxue with an unnerving intensity. It was Jiang Wei, the council's top strategist, and Lin Qingxue's former mentor.

Lin Qingxue's grip on her fists tightened, her knuckles cracking with tension. "Competition? You call betraying me, sacrificing me, and destroying my reputation 'competition'? You call that a righteous act?"

Jiang Wei smiled, his eyes glinting with a sinister light. "You were always too weak, Lin Qingxue. You were never destined to be the leader of this organization. I did what needed to be done to ensure the success of our mission."

Lin Qingxue's anger boiled over, and she lunged at Jiang Wei, her fists flying at him with a ferocity that sent the council members scattering. But Jiang Wei was no ordinary opponent. With a swift kick, he sent Lin Qingxue flying across the room, her body crashing into the wall.
