第160章 "Shadows of Betrayal Unravel"

重生之都市仙尊

**160th Chapter: The Web of Deceit**

Jiang Wanshan's words still lingered in the air, heavy with the weight of accusation. Lin Qingxue's eyes narrowed, her expression darkening like a stormy sky. "You're saying I betrayed you?" she asked, her voice low and menacing.

Jiang Wanshan's eyes flashed with anger. "I'm saying you're not as innocent as you seem," he spat, his fingers drumming impatiently on the armrest.

Lin Qingxue's laughter was cold and calculating. "Innocent? Ha! You're the one who's been playing both sides, Jiang. You've been using me to get closer to the Xue family, haven't you?"

Jiang Wanshan's face twisted in a snarl. "You're insane, Lin. I would never betray our teacher or the sect. You're the one who's been hiding secrets, always scheming to get ahead."

The air in the room seemed to thicken, the tension between them palpable. Lin Qingxue's eyes never left Jiang Wanshan's face, her gaze like a cold steel blade. "You know nothing, Jiang. You never did. But I'll make sure you know the truth soon enough."

Suddenly, the door to the room burst open, and a tall, imposing figure strode in. "What's going on here?" he demanded, his voice like thunder.

Jiang Wanshan's eyes flickered to the newcomer, his expression a mask of innocence. "Oh, just a little disagreement, Master Zuo," he said, his voice smooth as silk.

Lin Qingxue's eyes flashed with anger, but she said nothing. Master Zuo's eyes narrowed, his gaze scanning the room before settling on Lin Qingxue. "What do you have to say for yourself, Lin?"

Lin Qingxue's smile was a cold, calculated thing. "Nothing, Master. I was just... discussing the Xue family's plans with Jiang."

The room seemed to hold its breath as Master Zuo's eyes locked onto Lin Qingxue. Jiang Wanshan's fingers tightened on the armrest, his eyes never leaving the scene. Suddenly, Lin Qingxue's phone buzzed, and she excused herself to answer it. As she stepped out of the room, Jiang Wanshan leaned in, his voice low and urgent.

"Master Zuo, you need to know the truth. Lin Qingxue is not who she seems. She's been playing us both, using us to further her own ambitions."

Master Zuo's eyes snapped back to Jiang Wanshan, his face a mask of surprise. "What are you talking about, Jiang?"

But Jiang Wanshan just shook his head, a look of warning in his eyes. "Not now, Master Zuo. Just... be careful. Lin Qingxue is not to be trusted."

The room seemed to darken, the shadows deepening as if sensing the turmoil that was to come. And Jiang Wanshan knew that he had just set off a chain reaction that would change everything.
